How do I scan uPrint McGill?
Scan to email via uPrint is free of charge and available at all branches of the McGill Library. McGill users can scan directly to their McGill email address, simply by signing into any uPrint device in the Library (or on campus). Please note that the black-and-white printers can only scan in black-and-white.
How does uPrint work?
uPrint, in short, is a campus-wide copy and printing service that allows you to print from your computer to the “uPrint cloud” and then you can go to any uPrint machine on campus, swipe your McGill ID card on the designated area on the machine and start printing.
How much does printing cost McGill?
More affordability, more sustainability: Copy and print costs for students are $0.06 per single page and $0.20 per colour page (plus tax). Default double-sided printing helps keep McGill green. Free scanning: scan documents and send them to yourself, classmates, professors or friends by email – at no charge.
How do I print from uPrint?
- After selecting PRINT in your program/document, choose the correct printer(printer driver): For Black & White Printing, select UPRINT B&W.
- You will get a pop-up of this screen. Fill in the three fields and click Print.
Is McGill library open today?

How do you pay for uPrint?
How can I pay for uPrint charges? You are encouraged to pay your account balance through online banking. Other payment options can be found on the Student Accounts website.
How do I print single sided on Mcgill?
From your document, or page, select Print. Then choose either uPrint Mono (for black & white) or uPrint Colour (for colour print-outs). Additional options, such as paper size, double- or single-sided are available through the print driver dialog box.
Can non McGill students use the library?
Yes, visitors who are not current McGill students, faculty or staff can consult rare and special material in the ROAAr Reading Room by following the process outlined here. I need help from a librarian.
Can you eat in McGill library?
Reusable water bottles or other sealed drink containers are permitted in Library spaces. Water fountains are available. Food is not permitted in Library spaces. Please visit McGill Food & Dining Services for more information regarding where to eat on campus.
