Training can be done just for fun of course but it has endless uses in veterinary care and husbandry. Rhinos can be quite stubborn creatures and like all animals, do not enjoy any experience that frightens them or may cause them pain.

Can you ride on a rhino?
A rhino’s back is too wide and round for easy seating of a human. It would be very uncomfortable and hard to stay on a charging rhino’s back. Considering that rhinos have a shorter height than camels and horses, riding a rhino would not provide as much height advantage over infantry as a camel or horse would provide.
Can rhinos be friendly?
Rhinos are generally gentle and keep to themselves, but they are definitely not pacifists. If they are threatened, they’ll move their bodies into an attack stance and often charge in an attempt to get rid of the perceived threat.
