Do you have to pay for miles and more?
Annual fee. No one likes to pay an annual fee, but it can be worthwhile if you get enough benefit from a credit card every year to easily compensate for it. The fee on the Miles & More® World Elite Mastercard® is $89. Some travel rewards cards even come with no annual fee.

Can I also arrange for awards to be issued to friends and acquaintances? You can also request flight, upgrade or merchandise awards for family members, or friends and acquaintances from your Miles & More account. With flight and upgrade awards it is not necessary for you to travel with them.
How do I pay with miles and more?
Log in: Log in at lufthansa.com with your Miles & More service card number and your password. Select flight: Choose the flight you want on the booking screen. Spending miles: Allocate the number of award miles you would like to redeem and complete the secure payment.
Do miles and More miles expire?
How long are my Miles & More award miles valid? Award miles are valid for 36 months from the date of the activity and, unless they have been used, expire at the end of the quarter.
Do Lufthansa Miles and More Points expire?
Miles simply expire at the end of the quarter 36 months after being earned. For example, Miles & More miles earned on 8 February 2019 will expire on 31 March 2022.
Can you add family members to miles and More?
There are no restrictions. Any adult Miles & More member can join forces with another adult member for Mileage Pooling. This means, for example, that friends can earn miles together.
