Can you homeschool in Northern Ireland?
As in the other three countries in the UK, parents in Northern Ireland have the right to home educate their children. This includes parents of children with special educational needs (SEN).
How do I go about homeschooling my child in Northern Ireland?
Educating your child at home

Do I get paid for homeschooling my child UK?
If you home educate your child, you will get NO FUNDING. It is like private education, if you opt-out of state schooling, you have to pay for it. However, you are just as entitled to tax credits and benefits if you homeschool as you are if your children attend school.

Parents do not need any formal qualifications to teach their child. As long as you do the research, stick to the homeschool curriculum and find the appropriate resources to use, this will suffice.

For UK homeschooling, parents will have to pay for your child to sit iGCSE/GCSE exams and A-Level exams.
