What is fire glass used for?
Fire glass is a type of tempered glass created specifically for gas fire pits and fireplaces to use in place of gas logs. This glass is created to withstand high temperatures and will not melt, burn or discolor. With various colors, types, and sizes to choose from, fire glass can fit any style preference.
Is fire glass the same as lava rock?
Fire glass does not absorb moisture internally the way lava rocks do, however, and is much easier to dry and keep dry. Fire glass is made from tempered glass that can withstand extreme temperatures without melting or emitting toxic chemicals or gases.
