How do I set up Kinetix 6500?
Follow these steps to configure the Kinetix 6500 drive modules.
- Right-click the Logix EtherNet/IP module you just created and choose. New Module. The Select Module dialog box opens.
- Expand the Motion category and select your 2094-EN02D-M01-Sx. control module as appropriate for your actual hardware configuration.
- Click OK.
What is Kinetix drive?
The Kinetix 5700 servo drive helps expand the value of integrated motion on EtherNet/IP to large, custom machine builder applications. With Logix as a single control engine, and one design environment – Studio 5000® – machine builders now have more flexibility to scale, design, and control.
How does a servo motor controller work?
How does a servo motor work? A servo motor is an electromechanical device that produces torque and velocity based on the supplied current and voltage. A servo motor works as part of a closed loop system providing torque and velocity as commanded from a servo controller utilizing a feedback device to close the loop.
What is a servo drive controller?
A servo drive is a basic element of a motion control system which also includes a servo motor, controller, and feedback element. Servo drives take a command signal for position, velocity or current and adjust the voltage and current applied to the servomotor based on closed-loop feedback.
How does servo encoder work?
The role of an encoder in a servo motor Observes the mechanical motion of the actuator shaft—a change of position and the rate of change. Converts the mechanical input into an electrical impulse and transmits a series of such impulses as a quadrature signal to a controller.
What is difference between VFD and servo drive?
Servo drive systems are capable of quick acceleration and deceleration and can follow exact motion paths whether point to point or with defined contouring. VFDs on the other hand are paired with induction motors and are used in applications that need velocity control.
