I believe Canon did everything possible to prevent owners from knowing actual shutter actuations after the 1DMkIIN body. I have not found anything that will read the Mk III I have and I just tried the above referenced utility on my 5DMkII and the reading it gave was very inaccurate as I keep physical records.
Does the 1dmkii have shutter problems?
Canon had a shutter problem on the 1DMKII and MKIIN bodies. I know, both of mine blew shutters at less than 75k (rated at 250k). And then again after that and before 250k. There was quite a bit of brouhaha on this forum about it at the time.
