Nu Metro Cinemas is a South African cinema company. Its head office is in Dunkeld West, Gauteng. Nu Metro’s history dates to when the first Metro Theatre opened in Johannesburg in 1932. The oldest still-operating Nu Metro cineplex is Bedford, which opened in 1972.

Is Numetro open on Level 3?
Nu Metro has announced it will be reopening Friday, 30 July 2021 but on weekends only, and public holidays. In the initial opening, Nu Metro cinemas will be open to the public between Fridays and Sundays, and on holidays, within the 22:00 curfew that remains in place in Level 3.
