Where can I watch planes land in San Diego?
LINDBERGH FIELD | KSAN | SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA San Diego International Airport has one of my favorite spots to watch both the airport and the airplanes. Due to the way the airport is situated in the city, the airplanes come so low over your head that you fell like you can reach out and touch them.
Where can I watch fighter jets in San Diego?
A great place to watch fighter jets is in the desert near El Centro. You can watch them drop practice bombs,and its real cool to watch at night when they drop the magnesium flares on a parachute. The Blue Angels also practice out there.

if the airplane is not moving (which is the best for night shot), iso 100, sharpest overall aperture – usually between f5,6 and f8, tripod, and long exposure (usually 2-3 seconds, even more). for any night shot i use A mode, iso 100 and camera decides shutter speed.

Seriously, they aren’t always Fighter Jets but there’s usually a pretty steady stream of all kinds of aircraft. I’ve have the Blue Angels fly over head on a couple of occasions and this whole bldg shook. They were a sight to see. You’ve been given several good suggestions for Miramar.
