How do I update silhouette Designer Edition?
To apply a license key and upgrade to the Designer Edition Plus version:
- Open Silhouette Studio.
- Go to the Help menu.
- Select Upgrade Silhouette Studio.
- Enter the following: Designer Plus Edition license key. Silhouette account email address. Silhouette account password.
- Click on the “Submit” button.

To update your software manually:
- Navigate to silhouetteamerica.com/software.
- Select your operating system Mac® from the drop down menu under Silhouette Studio® or Mint Studio™.
- Click “Download.” Once the software update has finished downloading, click to open.
How do I check my Silhouette firmware?
Open Silhouette Studio®, and make sure your Silhouette machine is connected to your computer. Click on the image of the Silhouette machine in the bottom left of the panel. A box will pop up, and you’ll see the name of the machine on the left and the firmware version on the right.
