Can PPI claims be rejected?
If your PPI claim was previously rejected, you can claim again and state the Plevin rule of high levels of commission as your reason for making a claim. When your claim is rejected, you must either send it to the FOS within six months of a decision or try and make a new claim to the bank with the Plevin ruling.
Can I claim back PPI from 30 years ago?
As long as you have the proper paperwork and information to provide to the bank that you had the policy and that it was mis-sold, they are required to investigate your case. You can claim back as many years beyond the six-year time limit if you believe that PPI was mis-sold to you.

What is the plevin rule?
Post-ruling of the Plevin case, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) ruled that any amount of commission from PPI policies of over 50 per cent was mis-selling, and that claimants can receive a refund for any amount of compensation over the 50 per cent threshold.

Can I reclaim mis-sold PPI If I am in debt?
You can reclaim mis-sold PPI if you are in a debt management plan anyway but as everything is paid back you can certainly do so and keep the money yourself. It is only if you were in an IVA or bankruptcy and it was owed that it would go elsewhere.
Can I use my PPI card on a loan?
It’ll only be used for PPI taken out with a loan and not other types of PPI, such as credit card, store card, mortgage, catalogue, overdraft or car finance insurance. You’re unlikely to be affected if your case has been to the ombudsman, as it would have already looked at this part of your complaint.
