Can the FS7 shoot 4K?
The FS7 does record 4K video internally with a super 35mm Exmor CMOS sensor, giving the image a nice film look with beautiful depth of field. The actual resolution in camera is UHD (3840 x 2160), not quite full 4K — for that you need an external recorder.
What card does FS7 use?
The Sony PXW-FS7 uses XQD Cards memory cards. We stock memory from SanDisk, Samsung, Lexar, and MyMemory. We also offer a wide range of Sony PXW-FS7 accessories.
Can FS7 shoot ProRes?
The FS7 now supports ProRes recording* (ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes 422)**, providing an easy-to-use environment for those accustomed to the ProRes workflow. * ProRes recording requires attachment of the optional XDCA-FS7 extension unit and a compatible optional power supply (BP-FL75 V-mount battery, etc.)

What mount is Sony FS7?

The FS7 features Sony’s E-Mount, which some may know from Sony’s popular line of mirrorless cameras. In addition to lenses from Sony, Zeiss and others, this mount can also be adapted to a wide variety of lenses due to its very shallow flange depth.
Can you use an SD card in the FS7?
Please use a SDHC card (Speed Class: 4-10/UHS cannot be used/Capacity 2-32GB) or a SD card (File System: FAT16/Capacity: up to 2GB). Format the SD/SDHC card using the PXW-FS7 “FORMAT MEDIA” function. Please refer to the instruction manual regarding the “FORMAT MEDIA” function.
What is XQD memory card?
XQD is a media card format that was designed to be a successor to the CompactFlash card. XQD has been adopted by Nikon and was first incorporated into the D4 and D4S and subsequently into the D5, D500 and D850 DSLRs and Z 7 and Z 6 full-frame mirrorless cameras.
Can FS7 shoot raw?
If you want the maximum flexibility that 4K and 2K RAW deliver, the FS7 and FS7 II supports RAW recording on outboard recorders, sold separately. To enable RAW recording, first attach the XDCA-FS7 extension unit, sold separately.
Is Sony FS7 a cinema camera?
The FS7’s E-Mount can take Cinema lenses and SLR lenses with a third party adapter, as well as Sony’s E-mount and A-mount lenses.
Does the Sony FS7 shoot raw?
The XDCA-FS7 is needed for PXW-FS7 to record 12-bit RAW footage on the AXS-R5 (in combination with HXR-IFR5), or another third party RAW recorder. The RAW data will be outputted via the FS RAW Interface on the extension unit and is fully compatible with the NEX-FS700 RAW data.
