How do I fill out an EUR1 certificate?
Put item numbers and identifying marks and numbers in the space on the left-hand side of the certificate. If different types of goods are shown separately on the invoice(s), show each type separately on the movement certificate EUR1 and itemise them (1,2,3 etc). Leave no space between different items.
Do I need a EUR1 form?
You do not have to use a EUR1 certificate, but you have to pay the full import duties without it, and you can’t benefit from preferential rates. You can find a full list of the EU Trade Agreements in place and under negotiation here.
How do you prove country of origin?
Origin declaration. You can make an origin declaration (also known as an ‘invoice declaration’ or ‘statement on origin’) on a commercial document that has enough detail in it to identify the origin of the goods.
Who fills EUR1?

The applicant for the EUR. 1 (the exporter) must be able to prove the origin of the goods, which is usually done via presentation of the supplier invoice stating the product origin. This is called the supplier’s declaration (SD). The exporter then fills in the EUR.
Do you need an EUR1 for South Africa?
Certificate EUR1 and invoice declaration: A EUR1 is required for goods with a value exceeding € 6,000; an invoice declaration suffices for goods with a value not exceeding that amount. Packing lists: A packing list is not strictly necessary if the commercial invoice contains sufficient information.

Who can complete EUR1 form?
You must be a person normally resident in the UK or the Isle of Man or representing a company registered in the UK or Isle of Man. If you are exporting goods from the Channel Islands, present the movement certificate EUR1/EUR-MED to the customs authorities in those countries for stamping.
