The Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) offers guaranteed admission to California community college students who meet specific requirements. TAG is offered for the fall term only. To TAG, you must submit an online TAG application from September 1-30 and the UC application for undergraduate admission from November 1-30.
Does TAG guarantee major?
Yes, provided the student (after applying UC lower division limitations and exclusions) does not reach or exceed 90 semester (135 quarter) units of combined community and four-year college transferable coursework. 30 semester/45 quarter 60 semester/90 quarter 3.0 GPA by the end of fall 2021 for all majors.

How do I Register my child for the tag center?
If your child has received placement into the TAG Center Program via lottery, please register at pgcpsmdc.scriborder.com. If you have any questions please contact the TAG Center Coordinators at your specific TAG Center for assistance.
Can I apply to tag if I live outside my district?
Any qualified student can apply to TAG, regardless of where they live, however, students who reside within the DISD boundaries will receive priority status during the application process. Once all in-district applicants have been awarded seats, then the remaining seats will be awarded to the out-of-district applicants.
How many points can I earn on the Tag application?
Applicants can earn a maximum of 100 on the various application components combined, requiring a minimum of 82 to qualify for admittance to TAG. The possible points for each portion of the application session may be allocated as follows:
