Is the Benelli SuperNova a good turkey gun?
A Benelli supernova was my first dedicated turkey gun when I didn’t know any better. Although it did throw a decent pattern with hevi shot #6s and an Indian creek choke tube, it was certainly not an ideal turkey gun. It was heavy and clunky, and the forearm rattled worse than an empty wagon going down a dirt road.

The main difference between Benelli Nova and Supernova is that the supernova is the variant of Benelli Nova. They both have differences in terms of their stock, trigger guard, receivers, and flexibility. Also, Benelli Nova does not include a shim kit. The two have further different models with more features.

Can you hunt deer with a Benelli Nova?
The combo can be adapted for many uses be it turkey, waterfowl, upland game or deer. And, it’s very well priced. The 870 is also good, apparently, but maybe a bit more expensive that the 535. I’d like to target all of the above; deer, turkey, grouse, rabbit, duck and geese.

The SuperNova is an ultra-reliable, nearly indestructible pump shotgun that’s ideal for rugged use. The SuperNova slug gun features a rifled barrel with a fully adjustable rifle sight in the rear and a solid, single blade front sight.
