Is the RG EXIA worth it?
It is one of the best of the line so far in terms of looks, poseability, and accessories. If you liked anything about the Exia from Gundam 00, this is the kit to have. The level of detail on this kit is great, but not distracting from the simple design.
Is RG more detailed than MG?
MG is generally what I would recommend to beginners in the gunpla hobby. The parts are bigger and the gate placement is usually really good as to not show a lot of nub marks. The RG’s are smaller, more detailed kits making it easier to display them but might be a little harder applying stickers and decals.
How long does it take to build a RG Gunpla?
A single NG/HG kit can take up to 4-8 hours to snap together and a RG can take me at least 2 days and that’s not counting painting, panel lining, etc.

The 1/144 real grade gundams I would say are probably some of the most difficult, because not only to they have the articulation of the larger kits, but they have microscopic pieces in many cases. see less Well, 1/144 high grade is the easiest by far. 1/144 real grade is a different story. How long does a Perfect Grade take to build?
According to our friend and Gunpla 101 contributor Emily, a PG Unicorn requires about 22 hours of work. She should know: she’s built multiple PGs! So based on Emily’s observation, we’re planning to devote an hour a day to Gunpla building and knock this thing out in four weeks.

Should I get the Exia Master Grade or the Real Grade?
Obviously the Master Grade gives you a bit more, especially as it can incorporate an LED unit, but for less than $30 this is a steal of a kit. This was a great way to kill a couple afternoons and it’ll be in the forefront of my gunpla shelf for a long time! Bandai’s Real Grade 1/144 Exia Gundam is a joy to behold.
