What is Balinit coating?
BALINIT coatings are just a few thousandths of a millimetre thick, but harder than steel. These low-friction, thin-film coatings are extremely wear-resistant as well as chemically inert. The optimum coating is determined both by the intended usage conditions and economic considerations.
What is WC C coating?
Developed for tribological applications, WC/C is a layer composed of Tungsten carbide lamellae alternate to amorphous carbon lamellae and is deposited by means of Magnetron Sputtering technology . The WC/C coating is equipped with high hardness, good wear resistance and it is also antiseptic.

What is Futura coating?
Futura Nano (TiAlN), produced in the INNOVA, is a great all round coating for both HSS and carbide tools, especially in applications where there is a high thermal load. TiAlN has a nanolayered structure which was engineered to give an optimum balance between hardness and internal stress.
What is tungsten carbide PVD?
The WCC PVD coating is made of a tungsten carbide carbon layer (a-C:Me) and yields significantly reduced friction and adhesive wear. Thanks to reduced friction one can expect, this coating system is ideally suited for the coating of parts sliding against each other (e.g. slides).
What is AlCrN coating?
Alcrona (AlCrN), produced in the INNOVA, is a Titanium free coating for broad application in machining and forming operations. Alcrona has remarkable wear resistance at lower speeds and feeds and under high mechanical loads.
Is nitride finish better than phosphate?
A nitride exterior will protect the barrel longer than a phosphate exterior finish. However, a chrome-lined, or phosphate, barrel will hold up better to sustained fire than a nitride interior. Nitride has a slight edge in accuracy and price. However, phosphate coated/chrome lined barrels are more common.
