What is Baycox used for?
Baycox Iron is a veterinary medicine. It is used in young piglets on farms which have been affected in the past by the parasitic infection coccidiosis to prevent diarrhoea caused by a new coccidiosis infection. Coccidiosis is a disease of the gut which results in reduced growth due to diarrhoea.
How do you administer Baycox?
Baycox is diluted at the rate of 3 litres per 1000 litres of drinking water (3:1000). It is administered on 2 consecutive days with an 8 hour treatment period on both days. Ensure full lighting conditions during treatment. Do not withhold feed during treatment.

How fast does Baycox work?
Baycox (Toltrazuril) although unlicenced for treatment of cats eliminates coccidia within three treatment days and is available from veterinarians as a 2.5% solution. A 5% solution is available but not in Greece (it is less alkaline & thus less likely to burn the mouth or cause upset tummies).
