What is DuPont Nomex?
DuPont™ Nomex® is an incredibly durable, inherently flame-resistant meta-aramid fiber. The unique chemical structure of Nomex® fibers is non-flammable so performance is built in and it can’t be washed or worn away.

Can Nomex go in the dryer?
Nomex garments should not dry up under direct sunlight. It can be machine-dried at a low-temperature setting, at approximately 140°F and 160°F. If you’re unable to remove stubborn stains and harmful contaminants from the garments, please consider replacing the apparel.

It supports combustion in the air and can withstand up to 370°C (700°F). Above this level, the material will quickly degrade.

Does Nomex shrink when washed?
Does Nomex shrink when washed? High temperatures may cause shrinking on regular clothes, but Nomex fabrics are quite resistant to shrinkage. Possible shrinkage is expected on 65/35 blends.
