As it turns out, Colorado has a relatively-large furry population. They have gathered recently at a Fort Collins St. Patrick’s Day celebration and on an Arvada trail run.

The cost to register for a furry convention as a non-sponsor is typical $60 or less, but once one figure in the costs of transportation, lodging, and meals, attendees are likely to spend upwards of $400 to attend. Some furries do not attend any conventions, while others attend several each year.

What do you do at anthrocon?
Anthrocon features a variety of fun, informative panels. From social meetups to learning new artisan crafts, you’ll have plenty to do over the weekend! Our Programming schedule for 2022 is now available, though timeslots and events are subject to change until the convention.
Where is PDFC?
Furry Convention Painted Desert Fur Con is the premier convention in Arizona for the furry community. PDFC for short, continues January 2021, located in Phoenix at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown.
How much money should you bring to a furry convention?
Budgeting is important to do in advance so you can make sure you can go and start putting money aside. Judging by the budgets above it would be best to plan on around $200 for a small local con and $600 for a large con, less so for both if you don’t need a hotel room.
What do furries do at conventions?
Furry conventions offer a range of volunteer-led programming, usually focusing on anthropomorphic art, crafts, music and literature. Some raise money for charity. Attendees often dress up in fursuits and wear artistic name badges for identification, though the majority do not.
Are all furry conventions 18+?
Erotic art is typically allowed if kept separate from other pieces, and shown only to adult attendees; a few conventions are rated strictly PG-13 but furry conventions are usually for all ages.
Are Furry conventions 18+?
We are an 18+ event. While that doesn’t mean everything here is all about sex, drugs, and rock & roll, we are ditching the “family friendly” model allowing attendees to creatively express themselves, while ensuring everybody still has a good time.
Can kids go to anthrocon?
Yes. If you are under 18 years old at the time of the convention, you need permission from your parents or a legal guardian in order to attend.
