The museum has reopened since COVID-19, but the keep has remained closed to visitors. This £13.5m National Lottery Heritage funded scheme is one of the largest heritage projects of its kind currently underway in the UK, so it’s unsurprising so many are waiting with anticipation for its reopening in 2022.
