Can you take food and drink into Reading Festival?
Food and Drink Only food for personal consumption can be brought into the Arena. We only allow sealed water under 500ml, as well as empty reusable plastic and metal bottles of any size into the Arena.

Is Reading Festival free?
Reading Festival welcome all ages. Those aged 16 years and above must have their own Guest ticket to gain access into the event. Children of guests aged 15 and under are admitted free if they arrive and enter with an adult Guest ticket holder (aged 18 or over).
How do you sneak alcohol into Reading Festival?
Simply pick any slim and slender alcohol bottle – perhaps a miniature bottle of wine or a selection of small whiskeys – and tape them to the inside of a Pringles can. Of course, the added weight is going to give away the hack, so make sure the can is perched on top of a bag and not in reach of security.

Can you sleep in your car at Reading Festival?
FIRE SAFETY. No vehicles are to be parked in the fire lanes at any time. The designated campervan/caravan area of the site is the only place where ticket holders can sleep in vehicles. We do not permit sleeping in cars and security will ask you to leave the car park.
How many cans can you take to reading?
Cans can be mixed (e.g. 12 cider and 12 lager) and they may be loose (not in a crate) but must not exceed 24. Also, kegs are a strict no no. Unfortunately, you can’t take your favourite bevvies into the arena, as you’re expected to empty your overdraft on warm, flat beers from the stalls provided.
