How do you play the CountDown game?
Each player has thirty seconds to try and reach the target number using any or all of the six numbers just once by means of any combination of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. After the thirty seconds has elapsed the players declare how close they got to the target score.
How do you play Shut the Box with 4 players?
Players can challenge each other for the lowest score. Flip down all the tiles and you’ve Shut-the-Box! With 4-Way Play, everyone rolls their dice at the same time, flipping down the matching tiles. When no one can flip any more numbers, the person with the lowest score (least not flipped) wins the game!
Is 4-Way CountDown the same as Shut the Box?
Four-Way Countdown has been renamed and repackaged as Shut the Box, but it is the same game.
How do you play Wake Up Giants?
Sleeping Giants
- Get the children to run around.
- While they are lying there, tell them they are dreaming about jumping around like a bunny or kangaroo.
- When you say – “WAKE UP SLEEPING GIANTS!!”, they are to get up really fast and do the action they were “dreaming” about.
- Change the movement each time they wake up.

How do you play CountDown at home?
The Letters Game
- Split a bag of Scrabble tiles into vowels and consonants.
- Nominate a Carol (or Rachel)
- The contestant calls out ‘vowel’ or ‘consonant’.
- Repeat until you have 9 letters.
- Set a 30 second timer.
- The contestants now find the longest word they can from the 9 letters.
