On the G string, 1st fret is Ab, 3rd fret is Bb, 6th fret is Db, 8th fret is Eb, and 11th fret is Gb. Because E & F and B & C are on consecutive frets, there’s no note between them to name. This is equivalent to the spaces where black keys are missing on the piano.
