Is the TI-83 calculator any good?

After 10 or 15 minutes, you get the hang of it and can pretty much do everything you could do with the other TIs. Of course, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The CAS (computer algebra system) is great.
What do you think about the TI-89?
The TI-89 is a bit slower to navigate and use in a lot of ways, more menus, feature overload(take years for a casual user to really get familiar), the user guide covers the basics but could be more helpful.
