What is big little week like?
Sorority Big/Little Week is a start of a potential long-term friendship or even sisterhood not only throughout school/college life but also beyond that. It is at the same time a weird, challenging, surprising, and pleasant experience to meet a total stranger and develop a close relationship afterwards.
How do big little baskets work?
You vote on which sister you want as a Big. They vote on which new member(s) they want as a Little (or Littles). Then, you go to Big and Little reveal, and you find out who is your Big!
What is a big little relationship?
At the core, a Big Little relationship is a mentorship. The Big’s purpose is to guide her new little through initiation, college life, sorority life, and life after college. The Little, in return, is to learn all she can from her Big so she can pass it on to her own future Little(s) or new members in the sorority.
How many littles can a big have?
Essentially, if a Big has two Littles, they are considered Twins. If she has three, Triplets. Four, Quadruplets, and so forth. Twins are more common than Triplets and Twins are way more common than Quadruplets.
Do you have to drink to be in a sorority?
Partying can seem like the top priority of Greek organizations at times, but getting drunk isn’t a requirement for membership. Fraternities and sororities won’t kick members out for turning down a shot or missing a party.
How does Big Little matching work?
As long as the selection of the new member is someone who is eligible and willing to take a little sister the seniority, position or rank of the active member does not factor into the priority of her match. Priority goes to the preferences of the NEW MEMBER.
What are big little reveals?
Big/Little Reveal!! Basically, every new member is a Little and gets a Big, who is someone a year older than them to show them the ropes and hang with a ton. You also then join a family with a Grandbig (like Eileen). As a new member, I was so excited to get a Big.
