How does a Videx intercom work?
Via a fob – Videx GSM intercoms come with built in proximity readers – meaning fobs can be used to open your gate or door. Via phone – You can phone the SIM card number programmed to the intercom and press 3 to open. Via the app – The Videx GSM wizard app can be used to phone or text to the intercom to open.

- Bus systems from Siedle usually have their own mute button. The button is easily recognisable, as a small crossed-out bell is shown on it.

This number is located internally on the main hardware chip inside the GSM PRO module. To gain access to the GSM module and obtain this number the module will have to be opened. It is recommended that you contact Videx Technical on tel: 0191 224 3174 for advise on how to do this.
Why does my intercom keep beeping?
The unit powers up but there is a beeping coming from the intercom. This means that the unit is not able to detect the network for some reason (see the video above for the normal way it should power up). Make sure the SIM card is properly locked in and seated as shown in the pictures below.

You can turn off the Intercom Messenger launcher in your Messenger settings. Just deselect the option to show the standard launcher to users or visitors. This disables the launcher in your app (or on your website) which allows your users to contact you, and see their past conversations with you.
