Warren Beatty made a remarkable film about one of the most turbulent events of the 20th century and it deserved all the accolades it received and some it didn’t. I am still waiting for Reds to win the Best Picture Academy award. Chariots of Fire was an excellent film but nowhere near the greatness of Reds.

The thing that frustrates me about “Reds” is that it could have been much better. The direction is such that all of the scenes are cluttered and busy and this lends a disordered feeling to the flick.
