apparently OCDP shut down and sold all of their branding, logo etc to Guitar Center, who now mass produce entry-level to medium quality OCDP kits for their stores. This is so sad – their drums were amazing.

The drums are still terrible but at least GC tried to save face with the brand name. In my opinion, Sound Percussion sounds better than OCDP. The quality of the kits, especially the snares, are just awful. I have never seen a maple shell with as thick plies and porous grain as these.
