I suspect project deadlines rushed the ending a bit, since it seemed to get smaller and smaller, and less and less sophisticated, the closer to the end you got. That said, System Shock 2 is quite possibly my all-time favourite game ever, knocking down the original System Shock from the top spot. Or maybe they’ll share it, I don’t know.
